This one’s at Delaware Commons in North Buffalo. The Ipe hardwood on the facade had taken a beating—sun-faded and dried out from Western New York weather. That rich, natural wood tone was long gone, and it needed a proper maintenance coat to bring it back to life.
Ipe is beautiful, but like any natural wood, it needs regular care to hold its color and depth. We started by cleaning the surface and assessing where it was most worn. In the close-up photos, you can see just how dry it had gotten—gray, patchy, and weathered.
We used a high-quality penetrating oil made for hardwoods like Ipe. It soaks in, restores the grain, and protects the wood from UV and moisture. As soon as we started applying it, the difference was immediate. The color snapped back, the surface looked refreshed, and the facade took on a clean, finished look again.
By the time we were done, the whole storefront looked polished and intentional. Not overdone—just well cared for. The wood glistens again, and it now matches the energy of the tenants inside.
